Car Club Clash @ ABQ Dragway

The RGMC will be attending the Albuquerque Dragway “Car Club Clash” on May 11th. This will be a great

opportunity to bring your car out and make a run down the track, or just show it off with other Albuquerque car

clubs in attendance. This event is set up for area car clubs by the Dragway. You can bring your mustang or any

other car you would like. It is a “RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG” event. There is a $30.00 fee if you want to do

some racing, or just want to make passes down the track. This fee is for an unlimited number of passes. This is a

great deal. If you have questions about taking your car down the dragstrip, contact club member Sara

Pennington (sara.pennington@icloud.com) and she will be able to help you with any requirements for your run.

It is time to LIGHT IT UP!

Sara will be available to take professional photos of your car and runs on the track. Please contact Sara for more

information. She will give you a ride down the track in her car if you would like to get a look at the water box,

staging, starting tree, or just like a ride down the strip.

Club member Jay Grady has graciously agreed to sponsor the event. What that means is FREE food and

beverages for members and family in attendance. A BIG shout out to Jay for sponsoring the event.

The event will kick off at 4:00 pm and we will meet at the track. There is a $15.00 spectator fee that will be

collected at the gate, children under 10 yrs. of age are free. You will get plenty of dragstrip racing action, a look

at other club’s cars, and a lot of FUN! Food will be cooked by club member volunteers and served sometime

after we get everything set up. There will be a reserved area for all our members’ cars, and we will be grilling

burgers and hot dogs, providing chips, water, sodas, sweets. RSVP to Vice President Chris Valdez

(christophervaldez28@yahoo.com) if you are going to attend. We will need an accurate count, so we know how

much food and drink to purchase. (YOU MUST RSVP NO LATER THAN MAY 7TH) Make sure you bring

your chairs and shade!
